Outstanding Seniors in Service Recognition and Celebration: The Brooklyn-wide Interagency Council on Aging recognized the great work performed by older adults in their interagency councils & communities. All honorees received awards and recognition from their local elected officials.

The Brooklyn-wide Council is a federation of 17 community district councils and the Borough-wide
Spanish-speaking Elderly Council. Funded under contract with the New York City Department for the Aging,
through grants provided by the Brooklyn Borough President and the City Council; the NY Medical Academy, Verizon, and funds provided by the New York State Office for the Aging, through resources made possible by a grant from the New York State Legislature.
